  2. Why SWAPORTS?  This utility will allow some
  3. serial communications programs that can only
  4. access COM1 or COM2 ports to function
  5. properly on serial PC modem hardware set to
  6. COM3 or COM4. SWAPORTS does this by poking
  7. the correct port addresses directly into BIOS
  8. area of memory. SWAPORTS can even correct
  9. problems with older serial software that will
  10. receive ok but is unable to send.
